Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai Remake. A complete remake of the original or a complete do over which leaves it in some weird middle ground where it awkwardly combines old elements of the story. Watched all 3 seasons plus all the OVA of the original this anime simply does not know what it wants to be.
I can trust that itll be good since we have the same story writer. Have read both Higurashi and Umineko and loved them read Ciconia when it came out. Add to list.
So far this arc seems to be tracking with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai so closely that it almost feels like a shot-for-shot remake.
